Vi, Gudleik Åsmundsson, kongens underfehirde i Bergen, og Halvard Åsmundsson i Svein Sigurdssons ombud, vedgår at Alfinn i Gjerde og Ogmund Ivarsson, fikk inn så mye i leidang (=skatt) til kongsgården fra Voss, på det 10. året i kong Magnus’ styre:
Først 10 okser på fôr, 14 stykker oksekalvkjøtt med fett og hud og én oksekalv uten fett og hud, 30 smale skrotter uten skinn og fett, 5 digre og 2 vanlige bukkeskinn, 3 digre og 3 vanlige geiteskinn.
2 digre huder, 38 1/2 lauper smør, 8 digre sauefell, 7 skippund malt, 6 linspund og 20 høns.
Til slutt er det 2 lester korn, 8 skippund, 5 linspund og 5 snaue stykker kjøtt av oksekalv.
Og til sant vitnesbyrd setter vi våre segl for dette brev som gjort var på mandagen før pave Gregors festdag, i vårt ærverdige styres 10. år, herre Magnus, med Guds nåde, Norge, Sverige og Gotlands konge.
We, Gudleik Åsmundsson, the king’s deputy royal treasurer in Bergen, and Halvard Åsmundsson, representative of Svein Sigurdsson, confirm that Alfinn of Gjerde and Ogmund Ivarsson received the following in levy (= tax) for the royal estate from Voss in the 10th year of the reign of King Magnus:
First, 10 bulls fed with fodder, 14 pieces of ox veal with fat and skin and one (piece of) ox veal without fat and skin, 30 small (animal) carcasses without skin and fat, 5 big and 2 normal buck skins, and 3 big and 3 normal goat skins.
2 big hides, 38 ½ buckets of butter, 8 big sheepskins, 7 ship-pounds of malt, 6 pounds of flax, and 20 chickens.
Finally, there are 2 cargoes of grain, 8 ship-pounds, 5 pounds of flax, and 5 small pieces of meat and ox veal.
And in true testimony, we put our seals on this letter, which was made on the Monday before the feast of Pope Gregory in the 10th year of the reign of our venerable lord Magnus, king of Norway, Sweden, and Gotland by God’s grace.
